Covalent substances have lower meltingand boiling points than ionic compounds. Why? This is because covalent bonds form distinct molecules. Unlike, in ionic compounds, these molecules fon't interact with each other much, making them very easy to pull apart from each other. Since they are easy to seperate, covalent compounds have low melting and boiling points.
Covalent compounds have these molecules which can easily move around each other because there are no bonds between them. So, they are flexible.
Covalent compounds don't conduct electricity in water because there are no ions in a covalent compound.
Compounds tend to dissolve in oyher compound that have similar properties. Covalent compounds arent usually very soluble in water because water is a polar solvent and most covalent compounds are non-polar.

Chemical bond is also known as intermolecular force. Chemical bond is an attaraction between two substances.
Ionic Bond is an electrostatic attraction between 2 oppositely charged particles. It is the transfer of electrons from metal to nonmetal.
Ionic substances are conductors of electricity if it is melted or put into water. They may be a good conductor of electricity.
